What else should I know about vehicle inspections in Texas?
- Gasoline-powered vehicles two through 24 years old are required to have an emissions inspection. If you are in an emission county and your vehicle is newer than two years old, or older than 24 years, you are still required to have a safety inspection.

How often should I have my vehicle inspected and registered in Texas?
You will need to pass an annual vehicle inspection. However, if you currently have a multi-year registration, it will remain valid until it expires.
